That's absolutely ridiculous. The issue is with the engine and the tech, no with the developer and even much less so the publisher. The issue is the Creation Engine can barely run on PS3. Dishonored, Doom 3 and other Bethesda published, not developed, shouldn't have the same issues. And even if they did, it would

Or you could play through the game normally, and then after you've beaten it replay it and skip the cutscenes and side quests.

Obviously you didn't read the article. OnLive as a service is staying around.

I actually completely agree with what you just suggested. I think it is too early to say that the device in our pocket will never be the focal point - that's a bold statement, because who knows where the technology will be in 10, 20 years - but I think you're right about what the next two console generations will

You seemed to have missed the whole point of the argument. We're not talking about portable games - we're talking about the point where there isn't a difference anymore.

Dedicated devices are dying. I wasn't talking about just games, but in general. How many people buy MP3 players, or handheld camcorders, or regular BluRay players that only play Bluray. Dedicated device sales have been diving for years. People don't want to buy one device for each thing - they want one device that

The issue, as I mentioned, is portability and convenience. Most people will own a home PC of some sort anyway, so that isn't really an issue.

I'm sad you didn't enjoy it. It was rough around the edges, but I found the combat to be fun - it felt a lot like Batman: Arkham Asylum. I can agree the story was weak, but I found the characters to be quite well written and much more realistic. I don't know if you played the game all the way through, but they were

What if Apple offered a standardized controller? What if you could carry an iPhone around, and when you came home, you could plug it into your TV and, using a service similar to OnLive or Gaikai, stream a game from a high-performance PC in the cloud and play a console quality game on your TV, or monitor, or whatever

Worthless? Enslaved was a great game, one of the best in the year it came out. Honestly, seeing as how Capcom has almost consistently released underwhelming games in the last few years, I'd prefer that someone like Ninja Theory be in charge.

I know you weren't worked up, I was just saying that some people get worked up over what ultimately amounts to a 10 or so FPS difference which, if you're getting anywhere near 60 FPS anyway, isn't going to make a big difference (unless it dives under 40 at some point).

Most of those reviews still show the 660ti outperforming the 7870 on most occasions, and being pretty darn comparable - within 3-4 fps - of the 7950. Of course Nvidia is biased in their marketing, but they do show that Deus Ex performs better on the AMD cards.

Had? What happened to it!

Did you not see the two graphs above that clearly show the 660ti outperforming both in a number of games?

You get more bang for your buck in terms of how many GBs the cards are, etc. but it doesn't matter if you have a 2GB Nvidia card outperforming its 3GB AMD counterpart. Nvidia is a little pricier, but the benefits are worth it, in my opinion.

Sounds to me like you got a faulty card. I was loaning a 570 from a friend last year and then I upgraded to the 680 when it came out and gave him the card back. Honestly, the issues you have sound like you just got a fluke, and it probably should have been replaced if you were experiencing issues like those. Did

Why would you want to switch to AMD? Nvidia cards almost always perform better than their AMD counterparts, are priced almost equally, and their drivers are generally much better. I'm currently running a Macbook Pro with an AMD in it and the Windows drivers are outdated and basically broken on a number of games.

Just out of curiosity, how is Google handling piracy with their Fiber service? Are they turning a blind eye to torrenting, or cracking down hard? Just curious for any Fiber users in Kansas and your experience so far.

Actually, the original Bioshock was built on Unreal Engine 2 - albeit a heavily modified version that brought it almost up to the standards of UE3. Bioshock Infinite runs on a heavily modified version of UE3, and is the first Bioshock game to run on the new engine.

Yeah, it is justified as a professional...it isn't something I would suggest to a regular consumer, unless they are a really hardcore gamer who wants the best display they can get.
