Alright, that's fair. So in a way Apple is doing exactly what I said - they looked at what they were missing, and said "how can we include this and improve it upon it?" So instead of voice recognition, we now have something that understands general language. It's not a big enough improvement to incentivize some,

No, you are correct. Microsoft raised the price of a Gold membership to $60, but not because of cable TV or any specific features. It was just a general price hike, one which I am okay with, because it basically is $5 a month to use Xbox Live. That's a lot cheaper than an MMO, and I enjoy the better party features

Oh yes, because we all know Xbox has no games.

I think it only eliminates the set-top boxes. Unfortunately HBO Go, as far as I am aware, is only available to HBO subscribers through an existing cable package.

Agreed. I wish they had kept it just a little bit closer to the original style - I don't understand the need for the "realistic" look. A Pixar-styled Tintin, keeping the original black dot eyes, would have worked just fine I think. But, all said and done, it isn't horrible.

Just out of my own ignorance, but does Droid really have advanced voice recognition like Siri?

Yeah, exactly. Infinity Blade isn't the best game I've ever played, but its the best game I've ever played on a phone. I think that says something. I'm really interested to see what improvements they make in this one, as I feel the point-and-click aspect wasn't that interesting, because it was just boss, cutscene,

My personal take is that, touch screen games are fine if they are using the actual device to its advantage. Infinity Blade is one of the few games that does. You swipe in a certain direction, and the character swings their sword in that direction. It doesn't get more complex than that, but this is a mobile game.

For all intents and purposes, this is the iPhone 5. You're getting an immensly better CPU. You're getting Siri, which can only run on this phone because of the dual core CPU. Better graphics for games...this isn't a small upgrade. This is a pretty big jump.

Because we all know sharks don't eat vegans. They like eating people with some meat on their bones.

I wasn't talking about multiplayer. So, what are you suggesting? That in the final release of the game, I will have to open Origin, open Battlefield 3, go to the in-game menu, select multiplayer, get kicked out of the Battlefield client, log into to Battlelog, select your server, wait for the game client to load up

Agreed. I played the Alpha and had to put up with this bullshit. I, for one, think having a website that gives you all these stats is cool. But its not cool to force users to use it to access the multiplayer servers...which begs the question, if launching the game through Origin launches the Battlelog website, how

The thing about Google + is that, unless Google decides to get rid of it, it is here to stay in one way or another. Its linked with my Gmail account, and that's what is keeping it alive for me. If it wasn't in the top corner of every Google page, I would not have been going back for this long of a time.

It may be a failure as a gaming platform, I would agree on that, but as a technology, its a really amazing piece of hardware that will, no doubt, be integrated into all sorts of devices in the coming years.

Not trying to troll, honestly, but wasn't the point of the Blu-ray so that Playstation users wouldn't have to deal with this sort of shit? As an owner of both a 360 and PS3, I almost prefer the three-disc solution to the forced install solution.

I see where you are coming from, and while I agree that viewing distance really determines what screen size is optimal, but there is a reason people go to theaters. And, yes, I'd rather have a high end projector, but I simply can't afford one nor can I set one up in my apartment without drilling holes into the wall,

My response to your original comment was based on you saying "on the big screen." What big screen are you talking about? Not everyone needs an IMAX sized screen, but my point was that, even with a projector, your not getting a movie theater sized experience. You're maybe getting 2 to 3 extra feet than you would on

Agreed. I think the fact that it only includes 30 days free, like the other editions, is also ridiculous. It should be at least 3 months included considering the price tag, if not 6.

I know, seriously. I personally plunked down the $60 and I am very excited. My school is also hosting the lead environment artist about a week later, so that is very exciting to me.

Uh, just because you can buy a projector does not mean you'll have an IMAX-sized screen to play it on. Thanks, but I'll stick to my TV, which I can actually play with my windows open!
