As is almost always the case, Archer is the solution to this lack of knowledge.

I appreciate that insight, thank you.
I appreciate the detailed reply. I suppose I should clarify that my post wasn't made out of any intense desire to brand Hitler as an evil Christian, so much as out of a fear of the direction the show might be moving in. "Atheist Hitler" is, in my experience, almost always brought up in the context of trying to set up…
Could someone who has read the books maybe drop some details on the "Bible banned in the Reich" bit? Is this story seriously buying into the "Atheist Hitler" delusion?
Ewoks are worse than Gungans.
Yes? I don't understand. How does me posting in this thread relate to anything?
I've attempted to watch the original show several times, always going for the episodes that the internet says are the "best." Never finished an episode. I really don't understand what people see in it. The entire conceit with the space station and the robots just seems like a giant waste of time.
Wildly idealized and romanticized views of other cultures aren't as harmful as negative ones, but they're not actually any less racist.
Probability of future movies acknowledging this explosion of super-powered people? >1%/<1%?
There's a new episode of HDTGM out yesterday if you want to listen to a Paul Sheer thing that isn't dumb, internet.
I haven't met anyone who has, but then, I don't spend a lot of time hanging around teenage girls.
I quite enjoyed that, internet. Thanks.
It seems they've unwisely chosen to ignore my suggestion for a 20 year timeskip.
This is pretty great.
The attempts of people to replicate TPP's wierdness is kinda sad. I saw people chanting "Praise the Darksign" in the chat for this earlier.
You don't raise your own fowl? That's a choice too, I guess.
A man who writes Sci-fi should have some grasp of simple measurements relevant to that setting.
^This. The "He was talking about distance" explanation is a desperate attempt by a later writer to cover for the original screw-up.
I'm pretty sure he followed direction perfectly, and that direction was "You're an emotionless robot, so speak as plainly and evenly as possible."
Bots responding to other bots is a dark road to go down. How many of these comments were left by bots? Am I a bot? I don't know anymore.
