The razor clean, dead straight four wheel drift down most of the back straight is achingly beautiful. Then holding it and muscling that into a carving drift around the corner is just serious icing on the cake, even if the line ends up a bit wide it don’t matter. Sick.

>I am a convertible junkie

True enough about the step backwards, but I think that’s some of the charm of those things. I am in awe of and thoroughly enjoy the modern cars and their performance and handling, but I also kinda like that caveman technology and wrestling things through corners.

To each their own. I absolutely loved my 2000. Better balanced than an mgb (imho) and did just fabulous on mountain roads. Pretty neutral feeling and flickable for that era. Never left me stranded. Lovely looking cars when done tastefully. I was once stuck at a light because a 6 year old couldn’t control himself and

Thank you!

Hmmm, might have to deduct a couple points, that’s not strictly ‘in the wild’

Had to swerve out of the way of one of these coming bombing down a country lane at me last fall. Dude was hauling serious ass hanging on for dear life gritting his teeth, no helmet, non-hipster goggles... perfection.

Badass incarnate.

They don’t turn the searbelt sign on just to mess with you either...

Anti UAW ain’t necessarily anti-union. They seem pretty damn shady.

But it’s a good play on words...

This was the biggest downside of taking Italian in high school. All the cool car names suddenly weren’t. Quattroporte - surely that means ‘super-badass times 4000!!!!’

Whoa. That is one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen.

I disagree. Loss of life is tragic, no matter what. Cheering someone’s death is repugnant, no matter who they are.

Without doubt one of the finest nose-wheelies I’ve ever seen.

“If I were in that guy’s shoes, I would want rescued, too.”

The idea that america could collapse without the world following suit is absurd. There’s too much money at stake and the world is too interconnected. The realistic scenario? Think martial law style living (airport detentions, etc) and long, long world wars. This is not a dystopian novel with neat off-road buggies and

Huh? The country is being dismantled. Taking this lightly is dangerous.

Dude was in buckaroo banzai too, he gets around...
