Sad thing is that this is actually pretty freaking amazing. It’s clear that autonomous cars will happen. But... definitely not there yet. Characterising it as a replacement for a human driver is laughable and just belittles their acheivements. Worse, it muddies the waters around this debate and is downright dangerous.

Hell Yes... I’m into model airplanes and it occurred to me years ago (and I’m sure millions of other geeks) that if you had an upside down wing for a car body it would stick to the road very, very well. Only thing is that by definition you’d end up with a weird gaping hole at the rear of the car!
