Would highly recommend reading "Who Moved My Cheese?: An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life." Our company actually "made" us read the book a number of years ago when it decided to downsize. It's worth the read even if the job isn't eventually cut.

The title sounded like something my girlfriend would surprise me with for dinner on Friday night: "Tonight we shall have Polish Silverware with Banana Peels; doesn't it sound tasty?"

Don't want Gladinet? Try How-to-Geek's super tutorial on mapping drives to SkyDrive:

Gladinet = great for SkyDrive. It hasn't tried to take over my computer. So much more storage to access.

Not really in the cloud, but works fine—Opera Unite. Does what all the mentioned solutions do and then some.

Hmmm . . . or Download Squad provides uTorrent 3 information which sounds far beyond the confines of pogoplug.

Opera Unite? Works fine.

All good and fine, but one would never want to use default ports 22, 1080—easy to change and more secure.

Oops! I thought you were going to show us how to do this with Clementine—the media player! Duh!

@miguelcervantes: Embrace the moment and simply relax. The chances of infection are slim. Think of doctors treating sick patients every day. They rarely become ill.

@espekia: The latest Mint put Ubuntu to shame in both speed and initial installation time/programs included.

Note: Most likely, one will not be able to use any of the programs on public computers because a plug-in is necessary for each application. Many of the programs only provide a 30 day free trial. Better keep the USB handy!

Working in and for the public school system requires a worker to continually concoct "fake" work which has no productive value or educationally enhancing merit.

All my "must haves" can be found at the Pink Flamingo collection.

@bro91: sudo is not configured for Liveuser by default. Use su - instead. root login is disabled in Fedora and you can't login as root in GUI.

Personally, I find it much easier to dump Wine altogether and install VirtualBox and Windows XP . . . but if other want to play with Wine that's okay, too.
