When I launched Chrome 17, I was all excited because I instantly noted the speed difference between Chrome and Firefox. After I installed several extensions, however, (the basics such as AdBlock, etc.), Chrome was no faster than Firefox. In fact, a large number of pages loaded much slower than with Firefox.
