This is a bunch of alarmist BS.

The slightest bit of research would have informed you this is semi (single-fire) rather than an assault rifle (full auto), but more clicks if you use taglines from those who want every modern firearms banned right?

“a military grade weapon for hunting”

Oh the naivety, cars kills more people per year than guns do. Mental illness and how we make people aware of how to help/handle it would go Mike’s to reduce deaths in both areas. Both are just tools until someone uses them with intent, ill or otherwise. There are too many weapons in circulation for any kind of gun

Sales go up because buyers are concerned that the weapons may be banned, which increases demand, which reduces supply in the short term, which prompts more buyers get in before they become too expensive.

It’s insane. The rifle I hunt with shares many similarities with an AR-15, yet is more powerful and looks nothing like it (also, it hasn't gotten up and killed anybody yet). The anti-gun lobby is either willfully ignorant or completely stupid.

Well, you haven’t seen Gawker Media’s handy chart for gun identification, per their bankruptcy documents:

Really? Then remove “Assault Rifle” from the headline.

And yes, it’s similar to the military rifles, but so are all weapons. Pistolsand revolvers are used by the military. Bolt-action rifles are used by the military. I could go on... Semantics is the issue. Words have meanings - if they don’t, then there are no laws,

Thank you for saying this. Assault rifle sounds scary, so they go with it. Funny thing is is that the ar-15 is weaker than your average hunting rifle, so high powered is a bit misleading...

Actually, yes it does matter. Words and their meaning matter. If they don’t, there’s a whole bunch of other arguments we can open up and just throw out, most of which you won’t be happy with, I’d assume. If you still don’t like the rifle, fine, that’s your opinion and right, but call it what it is - a semi-automatic

The AR platform is the most popular style of rifle available, I think the selection is incidental. ISIS uses Toyota trucks too, because they’re easy to procure and famously reliable. You don’t have to be a terrorist to buy one though.

The AR-15 IS NOT an assault rifle. Assault rifles MUST have selective fire, something the AR-15 does not have.

10/10 would daily.

I like it

Wait, can we see this full image?

But’s it’s absolutely not easier than buying a washing machine. You don’t have to pass a background check to buy a washing machine.

This would be a good color for a vintage car or motorcycle. I don't hate it.

It’s fake. Don’t ask me how I know, but sleep a bit easier.
