I like how if you combine what you know about Katniss’ character from the books - what she is thinking at certain times - with what you learn of other character’s motivations from the movies, you end up with something even better than either on thier own. I think the best example of this is seeing Snow desparately…

I’m kinda curious how much inspiration Collins took from the fall of Rome when doing her world building. I know about the panem and circus quote but I think it is interesting that she called out how most soldiers were from district 2 and that almost all Capitalizens were useless layabouts, the same way Roman citizen…

I like to think that Snow realized he had lost at the end of CF when Katniss refused to shoot Fenik (which was way more powerful in the movie than the book since it was from his perspective) and the entire time during Mockingjay was just trying to bring down as many people as he could with him.
