To be honest, I think that kind of control over your life from an employer is a little abusive too, even for politics. But if you’re happy, I guess, go for it.

Well, now that I go to a UCC church, I know what a real liberal church is like. You have to understand though, that I had no idea until about a year ago that the denomination even existed. I didn’t know what a real liberal church even was, because I have never been exposed to a faith like that. It’s been a crazy

What can I say? There’s a lot of validity in the arguments here, but when you’re under a lot of financial pressure with two small kids (husband working a shitty warehouse job, on food stamps) you think you’re willing to compromise more than you actually are. When Christian people talk about being persecuted for their faith this behavior is the problem. They are being called out for being racist, sexist, ageist assholes who don’t seem to follow any moral compass besides mean girls. Not for believing in JC.

So you’ve never interviewed and taken a job based on what you’ve been told of the company culture, only to find out they sugar coated things and made it seem better than it is?

Ever since someone pointed out it out the last time this image was posted, I can’t get it out of my head:

Stay strong, they probably just got an A on their sophomore English midterm and want to show off.

Bunch of greys coming out of the woodwork here to explain to me that Shakespeare is SRS BIZNESS.

Yeah, but Shakespeare never wrote any sonnets about Harry Styles. Points go to TayTay.

My mother’s email title was “Looks like we were right!”. (We = Jewish people.)
