That's the sound at the end of the episode. Not the beginning.

The tapping at the beginning is Max's or Josh's video game controller clicking while they hear Celeste get beaten upstairs.

This was BY FAR the best Frank episode to date. I can see VV getting an Emmy nom by submitting this episode while the rest (especially early on) were so sub-par.

I totally agree. I thought it was leading to Ray having drugged Ani's glass of scotch so that he could use turning her over to the bad guys to get out of his own bad situation.

I don't think anybody cares enough about True Detective this year to write think-pieces.

Darn - I was hoping that being off Roadies would free her up to play Easter in Brian Fuller's American Gods. Could you imagine someone with Brian Fuller's eye for visuals having Christina Hendricks to direct. Sheez Louise.

I'm surprised no one brought up the moments when - despite your best efforts or your rational mind - you find yourself rooting for Tony Soprano, Walter White, Philip & Elizabeth from the Americans, Vic Mackey, etc. to "get away with it" and "not get caught". Or at least until the end of the series.

I like Thrift Shop and National Anthem. They are not mutually exclusive.

Wait - aren't all of The National's songs the same 3 minutes over and over again? How is this new?

You missed the whole point in Act 3! There were only 5 bullets in the gun - count them as they hit the floor. If Bob had grabbed the gun and tried to fire, it would have not fired giving Bill the opportunity to kill Bob before Bob could fire his 2nd shot.
