Level 1 charges can be had under $1,000, but labor alone can cost nearly double the price of the charger itself

I ordered my Audi Q5e in Sept 2021... I took delivery in Dec 2022. I didn’t step into dealership until the day I picked up the car.
I can kind of sense myself how this is going. I know there’s going to be alot of people who say no way, that’s not possible. But this is my experience from my own new ownership of a PHEV, not a full EV. I purchased mine in the beginning of Dec and I have had about 2 months and seen my power usage and gas usage. So I…
In general in North America the chargers have become standardized. J1772 is the default Level 1/2 charger with CCS (basically J1772 with 2 more pins under it) for DC charging. You can still use level 1/2 j1772 to charge a car with CCS. The other standard is Tesla (which has it’s own plug basically) But now Tesla has a…
I’m a fan of most of the Audi layout. It looks similar to the one I had in my 2018 SQ5. The only changes I would make would be the gear shift knob, as I didn’t find it to save much space compared to a more traditional shifter (even if you faked one) Also there’s no need for a headlight switch now probably. It should…
I’m going to have to agree with the assessment that it was not designed to be a method of transport, but to be a residence, and have the ability of transport. Whereas I would say even docked yachts are designed to transport first and the residence part second.
Not to complicate matters, but there technically isn’t a huge difference between leasing and buying. As long as the interest rates are the same and the purchase price on the lease and the sale are the same on the same car, the difference is quite small. I have leased multiple cars and I purchased one at the end of my…
There’s your problem… not getting a new 4Runner lol. You obviously know how long those go for :)
OMG I hate the giant rim trend. I always get the smallest rim possible on my cars. Dealers often wonder why I insist on the smallest (cheap) rims on any car I order, while optioning out everything else lol. I had 5 tires replaces on my GTI, but none on my later cars after I learned.
It took 41 years for anti-lock brakes to be required by law. Anti-lock brakes were on the 1971 Chrysler Imperial... and the law requiring them in new cars with ESC went into effect 2012.

1. Larger rim packages - Makes the tires more expensive, ride less comfortable and does nothing usually for performance of the car.
Most answers to this prompt are going to be dumb, but sunroof is spot on.
Reversing cameras and parking sensors, are they overrated?
We have a similar system in a couple of our cars. My wife has been saved at least twice by it seeing the deer early.
Probably the only type of system that could have even made a difference at all. It’s a niche market, but pretty cool.
That road is in way too good condition for Michigan... Someone could just put a bunch of pot holes in it and it would slow people down lol... and no one would be the wiser.... Roads in Michigan are crap anyways.
My mother who is in her 60s, who has never before complained about a car being too slow, (Loved her Chrysler minivans etc), finished her 3 year lease and did not buy it after loving most of what the new Tiguan offered, because it was too slow. She had been planning to keep it after if it was a good fit.
