Well, you already own a VW, so 8K gets you a nice MK6 GTI all day long. It is THE perfect all around car, and can do everything for you all day long. Should be decently reliable and easy to work on. Also, nothing else responds better to mods than VAG cars.

Agreed. They likely wouldn’t have sold that many of the IDX, but it would have helped the brand’s image. Not everything should be about bean counting.
