My family introduced me to the MKIV Golf in 2001 to the flavor of a used 2000 TDI. My parents were looking for a car to replace their Chrysler Cirrus. That was our only VW till 2008 when my parents picked up a 2005 2.0 MKIV. I was with my dad when he signed the papers and tossed me the keys to our family’s “new” car

Not if you build them correctly.

Wyoming does not actually exist.

Hit the skinny pedal!

Like kids, you just lock the one giving you problems away and have fun with the good one(s) until you feel like dealing with getting the problem one sorted out.

Does the future hold tireless wheels or a world full of soft sand? Just asking because every concept sketch seems to show the wheels on the ground.

“Wagon”

These all qualify as wagons now?

Going off the current criteria of German automotive design it clearly falls inline to be classified as a coupe or shooting break. However we have to take into account the Mercedes factor which clearly changes the classification of the R-Class to a convertible sport coupe.

The first ever recorded instance of the donor heart rejecting the body it was transplanted into. Not to be confused with the more common instance of the body rejecting donor organs.

David,

I will give you Utah, but what I’ve seen from New Mexico and California I’m not missing much, I haven’t made it to Nevada yet. The Grand Canyon is towards the bottom of my list of cool stuff I have found out here. You should check out Sedona but if you go do it during the week, on the weekends its packed.

The distances are just a unit of measure for comparison. I don’t set a distance I want to cover at the start of the trip nor do I end up driving all day, I just drive to and stop at what I find interesting, lava fields, meteor crater, ghost towns... and check the odometer at the end. Not sure how that is a wasted

“Arizona is a fairly mountainous and rugged state, and is home to the world’s largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest. Many mountain ranges exceed 9,000 feet (2,700 m) in elevation, and some can hold snow all summer.”

“I’m not sure 4 days are enough to get around the island and actually stop and see stuff. You’ll just be driving campsite to campsite.”

I did not fully read the article but still stand by my decision. However I’m sure you can get enough camping gear in there to make due.

I got the big truck stuck in one of the tubes...

So they paid for travel from Virginia to California, I’m assuming they also sprung for lodging. All to come to the same conclusion I was able to come to within minutes of reading the articles posted after the tunnel opened.

All hail the IDx!

“Wouldn’t hydrogen burning engines get closer to this goal?”
