You’re one of the good ones, the ones I end up working with seem to have control issues.
It just depends on the plan, they probably can move faster than just self propelled or its cheaper. Most SPMTs systems are hydraulic.

I can’t hate on them too much they did work with us in the field to come up with solutions. Communicating with the one I’m that designed my current project is like throwing a message in a bottle in the ocean.
Hope you did a better job than the engineers I’m working with. Who have the audacity to get pissy when I point out they just did a bunch of copy and pasting from various designs and now we have 4" bollards in one detail 6" called out in the location.
