Shout out to the lady who ran to the danger. That’s how you human.

This is interesting, because it is of course worse for these devs, but the main complaint I hear (and have) with the Switch store (don’t own an XB1 or Series X) is that it is a goddamned avalanche of FTP or shovelware games. Which is good for the groups that MAKE those games, but it feels a lot like Google Play in

I don’t really get the issue here. Yes it makes it hard to break into the mainstream as an indie developer. But this is kinda just how marketing works. If you want people to see your game front and center, be prepared to pay for that.

Buy the authorities!

We have contrasting definitions of what “totally different” means.

Dude, fuck you if that’s what you’re getting out of this. Plenty of good kids in good families get tattoos at young ages. Just because we still have handfuls of archaic laws that don’t actually protect fuck all that doesn’t mean she was in a bad home environment.

They’re excited because they wanted to complete a collection.

Silly sentiment.

Well when you consider that Minecraft is the most successful game of all time and one of the most innovating pieces of interactive art since videogames have been a thing that promotes and give people the tools to express their creativity, I don’t think Picasso would be too upset about the comparison.

I mean people in general get excited all the time about rare artefacts that we find in the world, if for example someone found an old Picasso painting that we thought was lost, even if it’s a mediocre Picasso it would still create a lot of excitement because it’s rare and a piece of history.

Your voice will be missed here Riley. Even in the past year and a half, your daily posts about what was going on really helped pull me and many others through some tough times. I wish you all the luck on what lies in store for you!

I’m gonna fucking miss you Riley!!!! Truly a legend.

It’s very weird to watch the Kotaku I’ve lived with ‘Ship of Theseus’ itself over the year. It’s still Kotaku but that’s just a brand, it’s the writers and editors that we come here for and it’s always sad to see them go.

Best of luck man, it definitely sucks seeing more of the old-guard leave but hopefully you find happiness and success wherever you’re headed.

This sucks. Thank you for all your hard work. I look forward to seeing what you get up to next.

Sucks to see you go, Riley. For all the garbage last year, one of the great parts was reading your daily posts, and being able to chime in with our own updates. It really helped build the feeling of community here, which is one of the reasons I’ve read Kotaku for over a decade. It really made my days to keep the posts

PHENOMENAL GRILLE POWER!

Comment posted too quickly for me to have read article in entirety. Condescending sentence calling out author for not including piece of information clearly detailed in paragraph 4 of the story. Follow-up referencing tangential or entirely unrelated fact betraying a shallow understanding of the topic based on half a
