You missed the biggest flaw of all:

Epic wants to utilize its own competing services, for its own apps and for others.”

I like the analysis of games as service and the spooky implications of the technology at play but... this ain't a review of the game, really.

Dear Will, if you took a second to try and review the *game* Microsoft Flight Simulator instead of the concept of cloud and games as a service, maybe you would have done the tutorial, which would have taught you to fly VFR (which incidentally is the only form of navigation actually included in the tutorial).

I want to see the list of names they didn’t pick, to decide on that one.

If you crash in those exact coordinates the screen turns blue

Oh hell nah you do not start your title with “Laurence Fishburne Died...”, not in 2020.

Might heart skipped a beat reading that headline

oh no

Never before have I encountered a company that hates my financial solvency as much as Analogue. ;-)

I’m pretty sure that game developers also need to know when the consoles come out to know what their deadline for the launch titles is going to be.

Yeah, isn’t like game consoles launch with these things called “games”

They showed a horizontal version using a center stand in the end sizzle, thankfully:

Is it an effect of the whole modern “monetization culture” thing, that this is being presented as “evil corp taking advantage of pro artists” rather than “nice little contest for kids & fans”? I certainly remember contests like this back in the day, and no-one ever talked about compensation, it was just a fan thing.

I give it two years of being basically underused and forgotten before they shut it down unceremoniously, as is the Google way.

I really want this to get a sequel.

Today BioWare put out a 3 GB patch to fix the issue. “Players should now have more time to catch up to their Squad before seeing a countdown timer,” it reads.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: all of these reviews make me feel guilty for enjoying Anthem.

Some of this reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics, I love it

I WANT IT NOW!
