“The biggest problem is that for Squadron 42, they got rid of multiplayer co-op, but also added first-person shooter as required parts of the game,” Lord said in an email to Kotaku.

I’m sorry but if he’s up for a dogfighting space sim, then that’s no less involved than a first person shooter. How is he medically able to play the space sim with ships flying around in 360 degrees every which way and the chaos of all that, but not capable of playing the FPS?

Yeah, I remembered the reply wrong and already replied to myself pointing out how much of an ass I am.

Hmmm. I misremembered the reply and now I look like an ass...

Edit: I misremembered. And now I look like an ass...

Okay.

Nier: Automata, and it isn’t even close.

Came here to say generally the same thing, but your math is backwards. At $180/2321 pieces it’s even better deal at 7.7 cents per brick.

I never said anything about kids’ art, so I agree with you in that that’s not what we’re talking about.

I see what you’re saying there, but Beyond Good & Evil 2, I’m assuming, is going to be much more than just a compilation of whatever creative endeavors get submitted. It would be a pretty boring game otherwise.

I must be getting old because I remember when companies would run contests like this with the idea that your submission MIGHT make it into the game/show/book/whatever. And IF it did, you were just happy to have something you could brag to your friends about.

Stephen - I’m so glad to hear Mike’s okay!

I’m a huge Fahey fan, so I’m obviously hoping that’s not the case, but it scares me that there’s been zero communication about it.

Seriously, what happened to Mike Fahey?

This is completely off topic, but where’s Mike Fahey been? Haven’t seen anything from him here or on Twitter for about a month...

What worries me is that they say “original graphical style” and not “original graphics.” I’ll keep my fingers crossed, but I won’t hold my breath.

I’m going to be the most unpopular person here, making the most unpopular comment here, and I don’t care.

I’ve been waiting so long for Sony to come up with something to go head to head with the Elite controller. I think they really missed their chance in not launching something like that alongside the PS4 Pro.

I really like Square Enix’s new approach to more original, (slightly) smaller budget games. Nier: Automata is my favorite game of the generation so far, and I really hope they keep going in this direction.

Eh, I disagree. I don’t play EVE, but I jump at the chance to read stories about it whenever I see them.
