California is already having power supply issues, let’s add 2 million or so new EVs to the grid each year...

So CA should mandate electric cars now, with few cheap EVs in the US, a failing electrical grid, and many residents who live in apartments and have no place to charge an EV?

You don’t need a car, California  is just like New York City, right?

Could be worse,  what if you were in California and there were major blackouts?

In 20 years we’ll be like Cuba, trying to keep all the old ICE cars alive.

Me: Hey! I’d love to drive an EV with reliable range, reasonable speed/accel for normal human driving, and compatible with the cost of living here in CA and my middle-class job/salary.

How are the 44% of Californians who aren’t homeowners going to charge this raft of affordable BEVs? As long as you’re telling the rest of us how to fix the world for you why not just ban all fossil fueled vehicles, including ships and aircraft, tomorrow?
