By “we all”, the only person you are referring to is yourself. Literally nobody else here believes you did not get a job because you are white. If your comments are a reflection of your attitude in life (blaming everyone else for your failings), then I would bet there were plenty of reasons that you did not get a job.

I honestly am glad to have learned today that “ghetto” is not an appropriate term. My professor in college who taught my Sociology of Race and Ethnicity class used the term frequently. So I had never thought that it might be inappropriate, but I can understand why it is after reading this.

Yeah, you should go review some of the bullshit comments I’ve gotten on this thread. People telling me they didn’t get jobs because a black person took the job they were better qualified for. Seriously.

Yeah, you keep telling yourself the person got the job because they’re black. Not because they’re better than you. Scapegoating is a pretty clear symptom of racism.

Really? I have never dealt with that before in civil litigation (don’t do much personal injury). So, since the civil standard is technically a lower standard than the criminal standard, does the judge just take judicial notice that the individual is liable?

Yeah, but what civil jury really would care about the difference? If I’m a juror and someone plead no-contest, I would find him liable.

You don’t shoot him within 2 seconds of getting out of your car when there is no weapon visible. You ask him to put his hands up and give him a chance to do so. I think that’s pretty basic logic. The underlying issue, which you are alluding to but not outright saying, is that he was a black male in a black area known

Do you not think Tamir at least deserved a chance to show he was unarmed? He was shot with his hands in his pockets. The officer, who said he told him to show his hands, shot him in less than 2 seconds after leaving his vehicle (which shows he did not actually give him any chance). I mean, the video is pretty damning.

But that brings up larger issues. Such as why are blacks more likely to commit crime? And there are racial issues involved with that as well, such as white-flight and the proliferation of inner-city ghettos. Additionally, it also brings up the issue that cops are more likely to stereotype blacks when encountering them

Ding, ding, ding! Found the racist in the thread.

“No contest”= I did it, but I’m too chickenshit to admit it on the record.

Yeah, that too.

Yeah, you clearly don’t know what “disproportionate” means. It means more blacks are shot, per capita, than whites. Not more blacks are shot, period. When you look at the deaths “per million” people, blacks are clearly killed at a higher rate than whites. Here’s an article with some data in it if you want. You can

Yes. Have you? Do you think 12-year old Tamir Rice deserved to die on the playground? The officer who shot him did so within 2 seconds of opening his car door. Tamir Rice had his hands in his pocket when he was shot. The officer lied and said he told him to put his hands up, but the video showed that there was

Exactly. This is not a criminal investigation of Hilary, the person. It’s an investigation into why the past Secretaries of State did not believe the official state department email server was secure. At least Hilary saved all her emails, which as you pointed out, was more than Powell did.

I think that it’s fair to say that whites can never fully understand racism. We will never live it. But I also think if we want to eradicate it, then we need more than just black people talking about it. We need everybody talking about it and acknowledging it. And I may not personally understand it, but at least I am

But can I talk about race with other white people? Like can I try to explain to my white, ignorant friends how disproportionate the numbers are of black unarmed people getting killed vs. white unarmed people by cops? Or am I just supposed to shut up completely about race?

Her chances of being carted off to jail is low because she is not the subject of a criminal investigation. The FBI has stated several times that the target is her email server, and the state department email server. They are investigating why the past three secretaries of state have refused to use the official state

Yeah, I keep hearing from republicans (and, unfortunately, Bernie supporters) that Clinton is going to be carted off to jail because “she is under criminal investigation.” Except, she’s not. The FBI is conducting an investigation into her email server. The person who set up that server has been given immunity. The FBI

Right? I have indoor plumbing too.
