My 2011 xB is pretty much unstoppable in the snow with the cheapest winter tires available at Canadian Tire. And I live on the side of a mountain in BC.

The Venza was very roomy and wide inside. Sure, it foregoes the usual faux tough guy SUV styling touches, but so what?
NP. It's mileage is at a point where it's no longer collectable, but it's a 911 so you can have a fun weekend car for a couple years and sell it for what you paid for when you're bored of it.
The transmission is an automatic (pun intended) $10K discount vs. a 6-speed car. I believe that’s having an impact here.
I think the fact that the cars on this list aren’t even necessarily bad is a testament to just how good Toyotas have always been.
Porsche’s dont depreciate. Well, 911s don’t, and Turbos much less. An exception might be tuned Porsches - but this wasn’t fiddled with by Jim-Bobs Go-Fast Shack around the corner, but the experts from RUF. Everybody who’s played any non-NFS racing games back when this car was new knows RUF!
This is a bad list and its authors should feel bad
I pop back over to Jalopnik every week or two to see if it’s showing any signs of getting back to quality articles from people who know and love cars.
Now it’s Tesla owners.
One day I’ll tell my grandchildren about how you used to be able to buy a decent basic beater that needed a little TLC for $1,500. They will look at me in disbelief and dismiss my discourse as the ramblings of a crazy old man.
The C-HR has the same drivetrain as the Corolla, not sure why it gets so much heat for it’s drivetrain while no one mentions the Corolla.
I have to STRONGLY disagree with 2, the scion xB and the vibe. xB would have been what the Kia soul is today, just needed a few more iterations. and the vice, comeon! people still love that thing. I think they had a few yrs there offering awd and in western NY, those are LOVED.
Are Prius drivers still a thing? Maybe in 2005 when the Prius was hot with celebrities and a modern yuppie-icon, but in 2022? Most I see on the road are either run into the ground with 300k miles, grandma-mobiles, or Ubers.
Y’all need to stop asking these commenters for their opinions on cars, holy shit.
Gotta disagree on the Ruckus/Xb. I drove one for 6 years and loved that thing.
This entire list is bullshit, and is basically an argument for “event the worst Toyota’s continue to be pretty good cars”.
If you’re going to create a list of “bad” cars, tell us why they’re objectively bad. This list doesn’t do this. Most of the descriptions are just variations of “Ew, I don’t like this.”
Aside from the “rail rot” Tacomas, this list is bullshit. And the Tacoma isn’t even listed for that!
My sister has a 2nd gen XB like the one pictured. It’s loud at speed and has a terribly cheap interior, but has been dead reliable for 200,000 miles. Nothing but oil changes and regular maintenance. It’s also very functional and feels very peppy when you step on it. It’s an ideal car for someone living in southern…
