The fact check should be done on the Hertz side.  If the owner (Hertz) reports a stolen vehicle it doesn’t fall on the police to investigate if the owner is correctly reporting the vehicle stolen first. 

I’m not sure I follow that logic. The police are just getting a hit back on a plate that says the vehicle is stolen. They don’t know the ins and outs of the situation.

It doesn’t actually stop the race, but more for points and does make it enjoyable bunching the cars back up.  Making them race hard throughout the entire race because they can score points multiple times in a race is good IMO.

What hoser68 used was an example, but I work for a major petrochemical company and I can tell you there are many operators that work 1000 hours of overtime year over year.  For most that is a choice because they make a lot of money doing it.
