Agreed. If you can’t get a credit card, pay with cash. If you can get a credit card, use it instead.
Financial outlay to get a credit card? I’m sorry what?
Moose and Canadian Geese. There’s goose shit everywhere right now, so I think we’re ok.
Don’t you guys have a moose based economy?
Ah there it is, I remember why I hate this website. SJWs telling me to check my privilege because they’ve made poor financial decisions
Sure, but that’s in Metric!
His point is about security. if all you can have is a debit card because of financial difficulties that should make a person even more careful on where to use it, because a fraud on a debit card will hurt even more than a fraud on a credit card.
So use an ATM on a place you trust to withdraw the money and pay…
Debit cards should only be used to withdraw cash, and nothing else. Credit card companies offer more consumer protections from fraud, along with other benefits like cash back and/or points. Spend enough using the CC and you may be able to pay for that flight or hotel with points alone.
Do not use a debit card at a gas pump - hell, unless you’re taking cash out at ATMs don’t bother with a debit card at all.
Hard disagree on the element. It may be ugly but holy god was it functional. Its the peak embodiment of function over form and that needs to be celebrated. All of this and my second QOTD submission about the 2014-2018 dual-screen Acura interiors got ignored.
If I could find an Element in decent shape for a decent price I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
I am STILL driving my ‘06 Element and LOVE it. There are damn groups on social media of the devotees. Now I am embarrassed mine hasn’t been kept up (cosmetically - I am all about mechanical) as well as some of them. Oxidation, dings, scrapes...
A 5-speed Fit is far more peppy and fun to drive than it has any right to be...
As someone who owns an Element and a Fit - I can’t agree strongly enough with slide 8. Those two cars are fantastic, they compliment each other wonderfully. They were (relatively) cheap vehicles to buy and own, immensely practical in a way that is belied by their dimensions and most importantly - they’re unique, fun…
Anyone with eyeballs can see that there’s actually very few dirtbikes in that lineup. Meaning the rest were probably unregistered scooters/mopeds/motorcycles that are actually street legal. That makes this all just the more painfully wasteful when the world is already in a supply shortage as it is.
