These are great examples for where ebikes can really benefit many.

Agreed. I purchased a Bafang BBSHD kit (like pictured above) and commuted on nice days. 10 miles each way to work, and on days with heavy traffic I know I’m quicker than driving.

I’ve missed that gif

My personal truck is a 1968 Ford F100.  Power nothing.  3 on the tree.  Drum brakes.  No radio.  I would like the modern version of that.

McLaren is quickly becoming my favorite supercar brand. Not as pretentious as Ferrari. Not as obviously new internet money as Lamborghini. And somewhat attainable unlike Pagani or Koenigsegg. Plus I really, really want a GT.

This is so freaking cool. Only supercar in years I’ve gotten even remotely excited about. If you have any issue with an analog, mid-engined, NA V12 supercar with a stickshift, please turn in your Jalop card at the door and drive on home in whatever uninteresting crossover you came here in.

“runs out at what we call Ferrari revs, so around 9500 rpm.”

Isn’t this the sort of thing car enthusiasts have been wanting for decades? A stripped down car that offers only the essentials.

There is absolutely no reason for anyone who isn’t a professional driver (and even then I question it) to turn off ABS in a modern car. None.

I could get behind this, *except* - modern cars with ABS also have electronically controlled brake bias as part of the ABS system. If you just pull the ABS fuse that brake bias valve stops functioning, and you will end up with (for most cars) too much rear brake bias and premature rear-wheel lock up under heavy

the traction control on my car is so bad it’s downright dangerous in snow.

There’s a reason this stuff comes standard on cars now. Sure, I understand if you want to track your car or do some sweet drifts, but don’t turn this stuff off. They have an intended purpose.

When my state first made texting while driving illegal just a couple years ago, the first month was magical. They were enforcing it so there was basically nobody texting and driving. Then by month 3 it was back to normal with every third car with their phone up in front of the steering wheel.

This. 1000x this! I’m tired of getting pulled over for 5mph over the limit or for accidentally being in the wrong HOV lane while at least three people try to kill me everyday of my commute. And THAT is no exaggeration.

good thing this was filed to rant, because it doesn’t make a lot of coherent sense.

IT CAN BE DONE

OK, I’ll bite. Why shouldn’t a trailer be self-powered so it hauls its own weight? Batteries in a layer below the floor and the electric motor goes to the trailer’s axle—boom. But here’s the key: the trailer’s electronics would interface to the car’s electronics so the trailer’s motor would be “throttled” by the car’s

That’s not how you make the monies.  Take somebody’s content, then write a blog post about said content, then embed their content in your content, clicks within clicks, interlinked.

I can think of another electric vehicle enhanced by a reliable and known technology that can tow literally thousand of tons for miles:
