They are uncommon, its just that when rollovers happen on this trail (as opposed to others) the consequences are painful. It also closes the pass because the trail is narrow and only one way which makes it miserable for people stuck behind the rolled vehicle.

This is a spot where the inner tire does (must) go over a hump, and you have the tendency to slide outward to the edge and stop. It is definitely a pucker factor point so I am sure he went to high up and slid to hard down.

Of course they don’t require you to do any of that, but having to borrow someone’s bike....like...whos? Having a friend that a) has a license and b) can take off work to sit at the DMV for your sorry ass all day.
