I haven't seen Daredevil, so Claire was completely new (except for a spoiler that she'd be a much of the last two episodes.) Her dialogue told me that she was an important person to some other superhero, and I didn't really need to know who — in fact I liked that I didn't. It simply gave her an authority that

Right. But wasn't that how Jessica finally figured out that Kilgrave was back? Kilgrave was the one who arranged that, along with the whole Hope project.

I've only seen the episodes once, but I think Jessica was taking pictures of Luke because she was hired to get dirt on his married lover. The other stuff is all on her, but I don't think she started out stalking him for her own reasons.

I felt like he was more and more unstable each time he came back. He was saying all the right things — but that's the problem. Abusers do return and apologize to their victims, who forgive them, and the cycle starts all over again. Each time he explained himself, I could see Trish weighing the risks in her head.

There 's also Sissy Garcia, who beat up Hope in prison. And Kilgrave's housekeeper is Latina. But still… not exactly important characters.

LOL!

To be fair, at least he's a blank slate that they can bounce their jokes off. He could work a little on reacting to what they give him — and then he'd be better.

That was my thought. The actors sold it, but the "Lowered Expectations" jingle kept running through the my head the whole time.

I'd never heard of him before. I thought he was terrific — one of those singers I'll be looking for in the future.

Honestly, I think the only people who benefit from the recurring sketches are the writers, who probably have an app that automatically re-writes the material, the actors, who can pull the performance out of their closet — and, I guess the production budget that doesn't have to worry about new costume/make-up designs.

It is nice to see Amber Riley's name in a TV review without it being preceded by the words "criminally underused."

I don't think he is. I wondered if he was wearing heels, but I couldn't tell.

Maybe this will make me sound old, but I liked that this Dorothy was from Kansas (and Omaha). The African American experience is not limited to the Deep South and urban centers.

I think a G&S show might be great. I have a cast recording I picked up somewhere of a revival of the Hot Mikado. Why not update one of the shows? The melodies are great. Patience might be fun with a hip-hop edge.

Hey, maybe they could get Little Mix or Fifth Harmony to play the street urchins. Oh, and Jason Alexander would probably do a great Muschnik.

It would nice to see a good Camelot. Or an updated My Fair Lady.

That's a good idea!

Hairspray is a really good choice. I think Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat would also be good. And, unless Christianity is a third-rail on TV, they could do a lot worse than Godspell.

The movie is awful. Sorry, but it is. I did enjoy a stage production of Grease. However, it was produced by a middle school.

I was bothered by the waste of potential in the Gatekeeper's role — but there's always one dude performance, right? At least it was a minor role. And he looked like a bouncer.
