@Robotronic: Their heads aren't even pointed at the screen...

@DreamTheEndless: Death's little brother: I think you're missing the point: if a polygraph is conducted in the correct manner, the physical paper test may indicate that the person is telling the truth, the skin conductivity may indicate that the person is telling the truth, and the heart rate monitor may indicate that

@DreamTheEndless: Death's little brother: Biofeedback is an extensive field (actually bordering on pseudoscience itself), but you do make some valid points. However, like you said, people would have to search, train and perfect this technique before being able to truly pass this type of test. Like I said, combined

@Philip Han: Papyrus is where it's at... :P

@A.Jaswal: Those people are labeled as sociopaths and there are much easier ways to discover that diagnosis than a polygraph.

I think it's funny that people generally have some misconceived idea of lie detector tests thanks to Hollywood, MTV and terrible miscellaneous reality shows. If done correctly (one to three questions of the same topic, skin conductivity, heart rate and a clinical interview beforehand), these tests, while still

@Dr. What?: Thanks, I was about to reply that biology applies to everyone, but you pretty much covered me. I'm sure that even if pupil reactions differ at all in blind people when they're lying, eye flicker, combined with heart rate, skin conductivity and other techniques will make this extremely accurate.

I have a feeling this is going to be a really good several weeks on Giz. Can't wait to see what you have to show us, Nikki!

I may not understand the intricacies of supply and demand theory, but shouldn't this be a good thing? Sure, they may not have the running start they were looking for, but this should create good word-of-mouth for Sprint. If someone is looking at phones (and actually doing their research) they will inevitably hear

@LordGenki: I feel like we've constructed a completely separate side-comment :)

@LordGenki: I mostly went there for the selection. I had a sneaking suspiscion that they were marking things up a little high.

@zophiel: Right, so it's not America's fault :D

@dale.philpott: Im pretty sure no one has made the argument that the "American made" valve breaking was directly BP's fault. I think the reason everyone is angry at BP is because of the poor catastrophe management, amount of time it took them to react, or their generally "I don't give a shit," arrogant attitude about

@Mex: Sometimes, I think everywhere but the U.S. Has better technological infrastructure...

@eben: You got a phone that doesn't exist yet? Wow, you are lucky!

@albertojb: Sophisticated society has moved to the underground. Viva la revolucion!

@dragon:ONE: A skeezy company collaborating with another skeezy company? Oh no!
