I don’t think he doesn’t want him to be a hero, he just has doesn’t know how to treat him as a character. Lazy writers either make Superman evil, or kill him. Snyder did both (he actually killed Superman like 3 times in BvS). The amount of internal conflict within Cavill’s Superman was so off the charts Batman was

I like the approach. Peacemaker was so much better than it had any right to be and The Suicide Squad at least knew what tone to strike right out of the gate.

Superman/Cap is a better comparison, and one I often use when people complain Superman is “boring.”

DC Comics’ Hulk derivative is Blockbuster - appeared in 1965, even had torn purple pants. Essentially a Hulk that doesn’t turn green. DC has made the character less Hulk-like in recent years.

Some of these are trying to tie movie narratives together, like Winter Soldier obvious DC counterpart is Red Hood.

I had high hopes for Brosnan’s Dr Fate until I realized the movie was a Rock vanity piece. Immediately telling Teth Adam “kneel or die” in order to create an immediately blockbusting fight made clear Fate was simply a narrative pawn.

Funny how everyone at WB thinks it’s a masterpiece, right?

Just wait until you hear what Matthew Perry thinks about the new DC universe!

I think The Flash will make money, but will it be because of Ezra Miller? It might be a great Flash movie, or at the very least attract an audience thanks to the Keaton factor (or just rubberneckers). Has anyone ever given Ezra more praise than “they were better than I thought they’d be”?

WB announced last week that Titans and Doom Patrol won’t continue beyond their current seasons.

...and Justice League War. And even Superfriends

The fact that the lines of communication are open with Miller at all seems to suggest the studio is still invested in its Flash beyond The Flash. That, on top of Gunn’s assertion that the upcoming movie is “probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made” indicates the job is still Miller’s if they want

I’m surprised how highly regarded the Swamp Thing show is. Other than a strong premiere, I thought it spun its wheels into the ground with endless melodrama. That’s all the more surprising since it was cut short by 3 episodes after DC canceled it.

I noticed Susan Sarandon is playing “Victoria Kord” in the upcoming Blue Beetle movie, which is an interesting choice.

Y’all missed the best quote

You just need a really good friend who understands you.

I’m still pissed at him for denying us naked Ralph and Lizzie sneaking away from the devastation after turning back into real people.

Kind of high brow, but then again, better than Jake the Snake’s meth.

Wait, are you telling me Tim Thomerson is making a cameo in The Flash?!

psst I think you mean Chris Redd
