It’s a bummer because the original DC Universe content has been pretty solid. Doom Patrol is one of the best shows out there, Stargirl has been a fun way to dust off old characters, and even Titans has its moments. I’m in the minority, but I thought other than a few nice horror moments that Swamp Thing was pretty

At least Flash finally figured out they don’t need to spend an entire season on 1 big bad villain. It’s hard to stretch 23 episodes of defeat after defeat without making Team Flash look a little inept. Much prefer 13 quality episodes over 23 not enough butter over too much bread.

You got to love when DC and Marvel tip their cap to each other. The JLU writers also did their version of 1970s The Defenders with Dr Fate, Hawkwoman, Grundy, Aquaman, AMAZO, and Inza standing in for Strange, Nighthawk, Hulk, Namor, Silver Surfer, and Clea.

Great episode, and more like DC’s version of Red Hulk (which I think came afterwards?). When I watched the Red Hulk reveal on Avengers: EMH I was like, seriously? Why not get JK Simmons while you’re at it?

Just redo Batman v Superman with Keaton and Cage!

Schumacher dies and Keaton returning as BATMAN rumors break on the same day? Coincidence?

JOH-NASSSS!

Whatever they do, I hope they manage to keep Natalie Dreyfuss around for a while. She’s incredibly entertaining in the role, she’s got some comedic chops.

And her cousin, Bryce Dallas Harper, plays professional baseball!

Well yeah, Clotho, and many of the characters from Greek myth, have appeared in DC comics (largely thanks to Wonder Woman), but that of course doesn’t make her a comic book character. Especially when she first appeared last season as a magical shape-shifter (also, how much better is Maisie Richrdson-Sellers as Charlie

It’s kind of impressive how the showrunners dumped most of the super powered characters over the past few seasons and pivoted to a mostly original gang of misfits and the show is maybe better because of it. The only characters that have actual DC Comics counterparts are Nate (Steel), Rory (Heatwave), Zari I (Isis),

I got really excited about Antrum when I saw a trailer that only featured clips of the “lost” movie. Then I watched another trailer and was immediately turned off by all of the talking heads. Just be the movie, you know?

Now playing

There was already ad excellent Scooby movie that introduced a shared universe, thank you!

No, but the other CW shows hadn’t finished filming and their seasons were cut short, which is why the CW will stream Swamp Thing this summer - I got the two mixed up. But, yeah, as was already pointed out, the decision to re-air Star Girl on the CW was made in November.

Yeah that’s what I thought, but it’s hard to think of a time when desicions were made without COVID-19 being the cause.

with impressive special effects that already outshine some veteran CW superhero shows.

Also, how do you sideline your Season 1 & 2 antagonist in therapy only to kill him off in a post-credits sequence? Of course he could survive, but that’s still a pretty major plot point that is more interesting than anything that was happening with the drawn out Delores v the Rehoboomers expository dump.

They had a fresh slate since we are out of of the park, but the season just circled the wagon. Typical Westworld, getting the audience excited for a mysterious reveal that is either not very mysterious or gets casually explained. We got more exposition in the final 2 episodes than the first 3 - that’s just bad

He’s got 2 acting styles:

Yeah, during his tenure as Bond fans LOVED Brosnan. He was equal parts Connery and Moore. I was never a big fan of Brosnan’s Bond, I always felt he was a bit melodramatic, but it’s only after Craig took over that you got anyone else pooing Brosnan.
