[SPOILERS] In the book, Vesper just slits her wrists in the bathtub (which the film makes reference to), so I get why the film tacked on the big extended finale. They built up Vesper’s character so well, they had to build a proper finale for the film around her after the villain was easily dispatched without Bond

Moore is my least favorite Bond, but I still enjoy his films. He’s actually kind of cold in his first 2 Bond films, he really didn’t find his “Bond voice” until Spy Who Loved Me when it became a comedy.

Honestly, arts schools are like a pyramid scheme.

For sure, the printing presses took up a ton of space, but they were also completely obsolete due to digital formatting.

For sure. But the theory doesn’t really change, even if the technology changes so rapidly.

NYU is almost more of a real estate company than a school today. Some of the faculty housing around WA Sq Park will make you throw up on your tuition bill (or more likely, student loan voucher). There was one professor I work with who cancelled a grad student’s PhD defense because it conflicted with her pilates class.

There are tenured professors there. Some of them made a legit mark in their field or had brief careers, and turned to teaching. It’s a comfy, attractive gig compared to the world of production.

Yeah, not much engagement with Spike. Not to say there aren’t opportunities, but what you’re essentially paying for are the connections to getting an internship at NBC or Viacom or some other possibly high profile film maker. But it goes both ways, you’ll have nobody film makers contact Tisch looking for free labor

Especially considering that it is nearly statistically impossible to make the amount of one year of tuition as income in one year in the arts.

I worked at and did my grad work at NYU (actually had family that work within Tisch for years). Later on I taught at one of the city schools (CUNY). When one of my students would mention transferring to NYU I would tell them I’m teaching you the same thing for a 10th of the price. Granted, Spike Lee might not be

Have you never walked into a bar, looked around, and walked out?

I think even people who walked out of Suicide Squad and hated it still saw Robbie’s Harley as win. Suicide Squad had a pretty stellar marketing blitz that advertised (Will Smith and) a much better movie at the end of Summer. I didn’t really get that kind of marketing for Birds of Prey. Marvel has proven unknown

I watched 5 minutes of the episode and realized I could easily skip it and not be lost for the series finale. As solid as season 8 has been, I think most of us were ready for Arrow to bow out. Mia and William have been nice surprises, but I’m definitely not investing more time into watching 2 of my least favorite Arrow

Or figuratively and literally unpacking intense feelings in an IKEA.

That’s what I kind of assumed, they couldn’t have thought they’d actually one day feature The Monitor on such “grounded” shows that basically used the Christopher Nolan playbook during those first 2 seasons of Arrow. Still, of all the characters, Diggle’s wife could have been so many others, I didn’t even realize she

ScarJo has already been cast in the part.

I wonder how much planning went into using an obscure character like Harbinger as Diggle’s wife. She first appeared in Season 1 of Arrow, a year before Barry Allen appeared on Arrow. Did they always have the idea of a Flash show in the back of their mind (and long-shot of doing a Crisis of some sort) when they

Also, DC/WB aren’t even attempting to tie their movies together anymore. Even the next Suicide Squad has been described as a soft-reboot with many of the same actors.

Love that Wolfman got the autograph of the two major characters he killed off in CoIE

Martian Manhunter is a digital effect, so it’s likely a budget issue.
