It’s essentially a single player game, but others leave signs around the map that you can choose to read. Some are just tips/warnings like "danger ahead" or don't go left, it's a booby trap". Others are signs that will summon that player for help in a situation.

You can put a summon sign down that other players will see and summon you as a helper. So, this person just put their summon sign down in front of the final boss door and waited for people to summon them.

I like it too. The repeated quips are beginning to grate, I might have to change those in the options. But as a bit of a chill out game with excellent music, it’s perfect.

Just a note, the list is missing Pokémon picross, which I really liked. oh and Pokemon Magikarp jump

Have to say, Resident Evil isn’t really known for it’s deep characters. I’d probably be bored of a Resident Evil show where we have to watch Chris make it through Police Academy or whatever. You gotta give the people zombies and zombie dogs or it’ll be a bad time.

Many many people have bought this game, it’s a big commercial and critical success. Don’t comment on things you didn’t understand/bother to read.

very that ! nothing wrong with any of these genres, of course, but it’s nice to get something that does resemble the aa experiences of the ps3 / xbox 360 era

I just discovered DQ11 on gamepass and I’ve barely slept in 4 days. The ultra traditional old school jrpg mechanics and world are a breathe of fresh air to me.

Being a South Indian who still lives in the region, Venba is going to hit very differently for me. I've said it before, the last time Kotaku shone its spotlight on the game, but it warms my heart that this particular geography of the country is finally getting its due without being homogenised to portray a larger

Saying that you don’t care one way or another would be more believable if we actually had games featuring all-PoC casts. We don’t actually have to make choices like that with our video game purchases since all of them feature predominantly white casts (in case of human characters, of course), so it’s easy to say it’s

Oh and might I add, if you don't like the game or the cast of characters therein, don't buy the damn game.

That’s the weakest argument I have ever heard. “Don’t like this piece of entertainment? Go make your own!” As if everyone had the resources, talent, opportunity or time to make their own videogames or movies.

I don’t understand what the problem is. There were very few black people in Medieval Europe that weren’t subjugated from standard society. It’s shitty, but it’s the truth. To be frank, if Yoshida wants to tell a story, let him tell it his way. As long as there isn’t direct racist undertones or worse, what does it

The best part is gonna be when Forespoken comes out and there’s a bunch of articles about how racist it is because they got this, that, and the other thing wrong about how a PoC character SHOULD be portrayed. It’ll prove his point about how if FFXVI had PoCs in it, it would have distracted from the narrative because

I’d argue VI had two protagonists, both female. Terra in the first half and Celes in the second half.

Can we stop with the ridiculous feigned outrage at some point? Pretending that Yoshida had some dark racist intent in his answers, seeing racism everywhere unless there is one of every color and sexual orientation in every situation in every form of entertainment - it is tiring and stifles creation. Let’s get back to

The whole idea that a made up video game needs to be racially diverse is dumb in the first place. Who cares if everyone is purple or green or blue or whatever, it’s fantasy. “This thing you guys made up and I had nothing to do with has only blue ppl, and not 1 green person! I’m offended and canceling you now!” Play

Exactly

But tbh I would like more diversity in a FF game

I am white; in my country Canada & according to the official census by 2034 white people will be the visible minority. I am excited to become marginalized so I can LOL at society too.
