Same. I didn’t follow the leaks and didn’t play RE7, but I DID just watch a trailer about werewolves in another presentation so that was completely on my mind and thought that’s where it was headed.

My expectations were set too high due to all the talk and hype around next gen technology including that UE5 demo. Then the presentation kicks off and after that initial GTA5 speed bump I was ready to be awed. After the 5th or 6th mediocre reveal the hype dissipated and the so-so conference just went on, and on, and…
The very first thought I had during the reveal was “this design is going to feel dated in a year.” Now after seeing all the memes we’re already there.
Kena was one of the few games I was interested in and upon further investigation it seems quite a few of these including Kena are coming to Epic Game Store which means Steam sometime in the distant future.
Best to just to donate, scoop up the “good” games, and ignore the rest.
“we want to reach new audiences and have as many people as possible experiencing the thrill of Total War for themselves”.Yeah I don’t know about all this “thrill” that Total War brings because I’ve never been interested in the series before but free is free.
I noticed a common comment on reddit that suggests Sony delayed the press conference due to wanting more media attention. At first I thought it was plausible, then it made more sense when I thought about the Space X launch.
Unless we see games look similar to the UE5 tech demo it’s going to be more of the same. More sequels, more action games, more prerendered gameplay. Give us a new RPG like Folklore, a new Mario Kart racer with Sony properties, a top down strategy game like Divinity or Pillars of Eternity, something wacky like Katamari…
I’ve never heard of the QAnon channel until it was written about here, so isn’t that in itself helping to spread misinformation? Another example is this “Plandemic” video I was unaware of that’s apparently socontroversial it’s being removed all across social media which, as a non conspiracy theorest, has me more…
I fell asleep after the first few minutes, woke up, restarted the trailer, and fell back asleep. The music is so relaxing and the narrator’s voice being very calm and relaxed knocked me right out. If there’s one thing I hope this game has it’s a Japanese history tour similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins.…
What Twitch really needs to do is adopt the NFL method where if you screw up under their platform (as in streaming or tweeting under your account name, not a personal account) you get fined, otherwise this is just PR fluff meant to make themselves feel more inclusive.

This is Unreal Engine 5 which comes out in 2021. Until we see or hear a game developed specifically in UE5 I’m going to assume everything coming out during launch is developed in UE4 which means we have a while to go.
“It’s meant to show off the company’s next game development engine, Unreal Engine 5"
Games could 100% look like this, but the whole game has to amount to one long QTE in each level that only lasts 5-10 minutes long. When Quantrum Dream’s next game comes out we’ll see how close the trailer accurately depicts real game play.
The music - it was always about the music. They could have sold the originals in HD and as long as they got most of the music it would have sold. The question is how long does the license last before we see digital versions taken down and reuploaded with missing tracks?
I see this being 6 minutes of actual gameplay footage and 12 minutes of discussions from developers and Sony execs with prerendered footage being shown in the background during their discussion.
“I spent sooo much money on this crap and then just get banned wtf,” is he referring to his cheats or obtaining a Valorant beta key? Either way I will pay my respects by laughing out loud.
If that Mario All-Stars 3D collection rumor is true, I could totally see just a simple HD remaster for Sunshine and Galaxy similar to Wind Waker HD on the Wii U. The question is whether Mario 64 is just another HD remaster or are they porting the game into another engine or even more unlikely adding some lighting…
This was an entirely third party presentation. The next “exclusive original IPs” first party one is in July so keep your calendar open and your Covids away!
