Over the past twenty years, smoking was basically outlawed in most public spaces. These laws exist because, by far, most smokers didn’t have respect for those around them.  It’s hard to refer to it as “respect” when all you have to do to meet the standard is to not break the law.

Now is the time to pressure Mitch McConnell. He is the one who has deliberately sheltered Trump from any GOP rebellion since it all started. He has long cared more about GOP power than the Constitution itself. If he resists this, it will never succeed. Unfortunately, the man has absolutely no shame.
