older cars, yes. newer cars, less common because the radio’s are getting so integrated into vehicle systems, as well as oem’s finally understanding that people actually want something more than 4 basic speakers and am/fm. and it’s becoming more costly to add hardware with the integration, pushing the casual dabblers

Considering, as the article mentioned, the first one was already build and sold, and according to the Facebook post the first two have been sold, a third already has a deposit on it, and a fourth is in the process of being built, none of those four being King Ranch or Harley Davidson editions... I’ll take that bet.

I love seeing mules. Except the Fiat 500L mules. That was boring.

Fair enough, thanks for responding. We get a lot of mules here in CO doing high altitude and winter testing. Not so many pre-productions as there’s a lot of eyes here. Though we did have this:

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an Infiniti coupe not being driven like an asshole.

The base Corolla only has VVT-i which only varies the timing not the lift of the valves. If you get an ECO model that is equipped with Toyota’s new valvematic technology which can alter lift.

That why you get a truck and a convertible.. As a Saskatchewanite that’s what I did.

American’s do love their convertibles and sunroofs though.

Both add weight to most vehicles and will inevitably fail in a way that a solid roof never will.

The people who option them on to M3's and the like and eliminate the carbon roof are committing an atrocity.

Gnats/Midges bite at night. So no respite in an open car even when the sun goes down.

I’m with you, my pasty white northern brother!

This.

Tesla’s “Autopilot” is not an autonamous system and one should not use it as such. It’s merely an aid to ease the stress of driving and offload negligence typical drivers have. And you’ll need nVidia drive PX2 to even have full autonomy. It’s a deep learning supercomputer. I think Tesla charges $5K for it.

No. The earlier 541s and C-V8s were all fibreglass. The Interceptor was a return to all-steel construction, which Jensen weren’t equipped to handle. So they outsourced the bodywork – on the advice of Touring, who designed the car – to Vignale, who built them out of recycled Italian razor-blades with no rust-proofing!

Some other cars from that era were all steel nose with no body seams. Think MGA or Karman Ghia. They are multiple stampings but welded and lead filled from the factory. Back when men could build cars.

Just goes to show that GM is truly innovative - they’ve had vibrating trim panels years before everyone else.

Fuck lane splitters. This is awesome.

And it sounded quite pissed off when I mashed the loud pedal! :-)

I agree with you on the turbo cars, but I think the NA GT cars sound amazing. And I never used to be a Porsche fan. At the IMSA races, I think the Porsches are one of the best sounds on track.

Some hospitals don’t allow cell phones because the wireless transmissions could interfere with medical equipment. There are many handsets on many carriers operating in all different frequencies, and it would be difficult to test them all.

Wifi (for internet) is more tightly controlled, and if there was ever a case of
