No, it was just PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but that was very quickly known as PUBG, PlayerUnknown left, and they were thinking about how to use the PUBG name, so the original game got changed to PUBG: Battlegrounds, the mobile game is PUBG: Mobile, and further games will be PUBG: Whatever. It’s an understandable

It is a risk factor— given the history of Wild West decisions like Home Depot trim heat exchanger mounts, the eMMC fiasco, the build quality faults that caused two recalls today??

Didn’t Tesla have a problem with their displays because they chose to use consumer-grade displays over automotive-grade displays?

Really because the temperature ranges for grade 3 and 4 of AEC-Q200 is -40c to either 85c or 105c (221f). Those are grades for passenger compartments. Not the engine compartment. Engine compartments have to work up to 125c (257f)

I assure you that the interior of any car gets quite hot in Arizona in August... that’s where the MCU, stack, screens and drivers all live.

I'd kind of like to see their Version Control matrix... but I think my head would explode. One of these times they are gonna brick 500k cars.

This is exactly the kind of thing a real automaker would never do. Different hardware chipsets running different software being installed “on the fly”.

Tesla doesn’t own a Silicon Fab house, so both premises don’t hold up to scrutiny.

First: from a QA perspective? “Re-writing mainline software on the fly” to code your way around chip issues? Is a terrible strategy that wouldn’t fly in a real company.

Dear Aztek apologists,

So will the NTSC. Oops.

I didn’t say that.

If it’s all the same to you, I’m not going to watch his video. I don’t want to add to his clicks.

Thais was obviously staged. Convenient cameras to document everything, no real attempt to restart the engine as far as I can tell. Most of all, he never once looked scared. There was never fear in his eyes.

The insurance company will be taking a hard look at this, particularly why the engine died.

You may not be willing to say he intentionally crashed a plane, but I am. It’s rather obvious he intentionally crashed that plane for views.

and about to hit 40"

They’ve sounded like that since the beginning.  It’s a WRX.  Back then, if you wanted a real door, you bought a Legacy.  And if you wanted a REAL door, you bought ...  a BMW?  Audi?

Huh? My STI is the family’s main kid hauler.

If you want both, you need to wait for the STi.
