Yeah... I actually have no real issue with the price tag on this thing. This was clearly a labor of love created by someone with genuine skill and attention to detail.

Considering all the dumb shit rich people pay way too much for on Bring a Trailer, dropping 200k on this seems reasonable by comparison. At least this is a one-of-a-kind art piece.
Seemed like he stayed on the gas longer so that he could pass the BMW, even if it was after the finish line. Red mist indeed.
TIL that a sub 5 second 0-60 is slow. Not just slow, but VERY slow.
Where are you getting that number? C&D says 3.3s 0-60 and an 11.6@119 quarter mile.
How it hell is lifting up 5 gallons of gasoline, balancing it on an plastic tab against the fuel filler hole and then PUSHING DOWN considered safe in any way. I spill much less with my “unsafe” older gas cans.
Same here. A quick blast of Easy Start and it fires right up. I have never had an issue with gas breaking down, even in my old plow truck (gas) which sits for almost a year. It also fires right up. This whole gasoline degradation thing has always seemed to be overblown to me.

It’s almost like Elon Musk is a dumbass with the intellectual depth of a 9 year old and only knows about stainless steel because it’s what the DeLorean from Back To the Future was made out of and it would be le epic bacon if his meme truck was made out of the same thing.
I was a reluctant NP until the salvage title thing. ND.
That is the best in-article update I have ever seen, well done.
“We embrace our history.”
I cannot top Kente Cruiser.
Tesla Model 3. I like the size, the price, the exterior styling, and could, I guess, live with the interior. I can afford it, and in 2 or 3 years will likely be looking for something electric. But the company owner is a deal breaking flaw for me (and especially my wife).
There’s just no way it’s coming in at $50k. Stainless steel is expensive.
At this point it will need its mid cycle refresh before it even hits full production.
For those of you fortunate enough not to know who Michael Shellenberger is, he’s a corporate shill with a background in public relations. He has zero training in any science or environmental subjects, but he is handsomely paid by the nuclear power industry and various conservative think tanks for his “contrarian”…
