It’s called a hand brake, and it’s for turning
Not a myth as far as I’m concerned. I got rid of my MT car because my commute was such a pain, and I had been driving stick for two decades at that point. An hour and a half of shifting every 10 seconds between N, 1st, and occasionally 2nd f’in sucks, especially in something with a stiff clutch.
Old cars are safer.
You can still find people who think it’s safer to drive without your seatbelt buckled because “you want to be thrown clear in an accident.”
That the parking brake is some kind of backup emergency brake. A) A complete brake failure is nearly impossible with a modern dual circuit system. B) Even if your brakes did fail while driving, locking up the rear wheels would not improve your situation.
-Premium gas providing any benefit in engines not designed for it.
It does a lot for the segment of the population who buys new cars.
You wrote skill where the correct word was luck. Incidentally you also explained why it is luck in your comment, but I don't think you recognized it.
That is fucking hideous. It looks like someone took the Saab Aero X concept greenhouse, slapped on the front clip from a C4, then grafted on some C7 headlights but turned them sideways.
Oof. That is like a world's fair exhibit of the future from the 60s.
Why? That looks a high schoolers rendering after a few weeks using blender
I’d say GM had continually made the best looking trucks on the market, with exception of a few years where Ford took over in the mid-50s since the beginning of GM trucks until probably 2016 when the K2XX refresh happened. Then, 2019 happened and GM just decided to crash and burn with it’s current styling.
These are just fantastic looking trucks.
I’d be willing to bet the lid was taped shut, but the TSA cut the tape to inspect it and failed to re-tape it. Because the TSA.
With apologies to Bradley Brownell and the approximately 17 other people who actually put their money where their mouths are... the Regal TourX.
The Pontiac Aztek. Heinous looks aside, it was actually a great car, which was why the Buick Rendezvous outsold GM’s projections.
If you had more than one car, it might make an amount of sense. Particularly if your daily commute is now down the stairs rather than down the highway.
Or if you have two cars but can live with only 1 for a while you make some money and wait it out, or just live with a cheaper used car for a while.
A surprising amount of sedans on that list. Maybe they were giving the leases away and now suddenly everyone is desperate for something with 4 wheels that runs reliably.
