I call bullshit. That minimal difference in emissions - you’d get a much bigger difference with underinflated tires; with performance vs. no-season rubber; AC on or off; Roof rack/rails; lard butt driver/passengers.

Oh please, the Germans have been looking for any excuse to dump manuals for a decade now. They’re not interested in having fun anymore, and it’s clear drivers like you agree with them. It’s also a hell of a lot easier to cheat emissions tests with automatics.
Better in what way? Faster, more fuel efficient? Sure. But I’m not sure it’s more fun. Personally, I’d take the fuel efficiency hit and the occasional PITA traffic (not all of us live in LA or NYC) for more fun.
Y’all, 34k is a good price for this car. Stage 1 tune and a Oettinger wing doesn’t wreck value on these and the platform is a gem. MK8's still going for close to 55-60 new. Car looks in good shape. It’s not a class of car that depreciates much and even inflated during the pandemic.
This is my car. Sold for $34,600. Listed it on Monday. Sold on Saturday.
After he got out and started walking away, but before he got out of sight, I would have moved my car. Just for spite.
I hope somebody stole his seat when he got up to take a piss.
Some people just need to get beat up once in a while to give their Narcissisms a check. Though I am glad it ended peacefully.
The pita is when forms don’t recognize this as an email address, either intentionally or not
Yep, pluses and dots. Been using them for years. I get annoyed when a service doesn’t allow the plus, but they all allow dots.
You can also add periods, so jake@gmail.com is the same as j.ake@gmail.com and j.a.k.e@gmail.com.
Best way to watch the race? Stay home and get a 65" TV or spend $25k for a suite. There’s no in-between that makes sense on an enjoyment/$ spent basis.
I once drove through Texas at night on my way from LA to Michigan. After a few hours seeing nothing but my own headlights I suddenly slammed on the brakes. My passanger jumped awake and was like “What happened?” I sheeplishly said “The road curved” just a gentle roll to the right but after all that dead straight…
“But in a few weeks, I’m heading out West to Wyoming, Utah and Ohio”
Texas. Because it never ends. Sure Kansas and Nebraska are flat nothingness. But Texas is interminable.
Ratting out my home state of Virginia. ALL OF VIRGINIA.
Are they good boring or bad boring? Good boring for me is if they generally follow the “Left lane is for passing” law and if most people don’t drive painfully slow in good straight flat conditions. Even if the scenery is lacking.
I’m from the northeast and have driven in all states from Maine to Southern Virginia.…
GTI with a DSG... how is this not every single persons answer
