Yoshi’s Island too easy? No, SMW was too easy. (And the special worlds don’t count in this discussion. I’m talking about the main game.) Mario and his slow-gliding cape were too OP. Great game? Yes. Perfect platformer? No. Mario 3 was still leaps and bounds above it, pun intended.

You suck! :P

Metroid 1 has too much repetition, too little variety, a few frustrating control quirks (i. e. super-floaty jumps, hard to escape lava traps), and always having to start with 30 HP when respawning. Zero Mission was a far superior remake.

Personally I liked LA better than LttP, which was great but was a little more crufty by comparison, not to mention had too many “gimmick” (i. e. useful only once) items. Yeah, the control quirks were a little irritating, but a minor complaint.
