This is also the most effective way to get little kids to do things they don’t want to do. I can tell my kid over and over to go brush her teeth, and she’ll laugh and not do it. But if I manage to involve teeth brushing in whatever crazy make-believe game she’s on, it gets done.

Sounds like something I would do, then just stay home with my cats, order a pizza and spend the weekend with my Netflix playing “how many episodes can I watch in one day.”

Yeah, thankfully it really was just about his anxiety and therapy and men needing to be leading afraid of asking for help.

Sort of the opposite, but my sister said yesterday when she kept seeing stuff about Jessica Walter she was afraid she’d died.

I’d heard stuff about Freeman long ago, but my personal list of “please I don’t want to hear bad shit about this man” includes John Lewis and Bob Newhart.

Whenever I see a male celebrity who I like trending on social media, I hope it’s nothing too bad and they’ve just died.

I remember saying that if I ever find out that Morgan Freeman and/or Mr. Rogers #metoo’d anyone then we’d just have to erase men and start over. It’s been a good run fellas (not really)

Yup.

Yeah were all family but some of us are more important to the family. You’re just being (emotional/hysterical/dramatic/insert dismissive bullshit here). Dont be difficult. Smile. Were family.

She doesn’t want to be the “bitch” who “overacts” and ruins it for everyone. We’ve all been there.

Not that this matters but Jessica Walter is TEN TIMES the talent he is. The show would have been nothing without her Lucille when anyone could have played George Sr. The argument for “difficult” men is that their talent is worth dealing with it. But he was tormenting someone worth ten of him and it’s still defensible.

It’s especially rich because her first TV role was in 1962, and Jason Bateman wasn’t even born until 1969. She’s been a professional actor for longer than he’s been alive. I think she probably has some idea of what is normal behavior.

I have loved Jessica for FOREVER (Read almost 25 years) and it is breaking my heart hearing the sadness and pain in her voice because yes NOONE is standing up for her. SHE has to be the one to let it go. Even though SHE is the one being mistreated, it’s “O come on, it’s not THAT bad”. Bateman is literally cracking

I want to believe in my heart that you don’t marry and procreate with any Poehler and end up being a gigantic piece of shit but you know...crazier things have happened

Bless Alia Shawkat for being the voice of reason in this sea of bullshit even though they only quoted her FUCKING TWICE in that entire shit show

I think this interview will feel very familiar to any women that wants people to know what happened to them was not okay, but also feel pressured to go along to get along.

Reading the way these guys dismiss the incident in front of their co-worker who clearly DOESN’T THINK IT WAS NOTHING is very discomfiting. I get loyalty, even misplaced loyalty, but they don’t seem to have any toward Walter.

So, on a side note. Why isn’t Fuck On the opposite of Fuck Off?

I know it’s a victory and all but there’s still something incredibly depressing about this even being a thing...

If I recall correctly, he denied it publicly for years before he finally owned up to it. He only owned up to it when he started facing consequences, and he didn’t even apologize for it. This article has him denying it in 2016.
