I am going off of the podcast I posted somewhere else in the thread but apparently Jerry Lewis not only didn’t help his family break into show business but did a few subtle things to make it harder for them. All hearsay at this point but seems to be in character given his various issues.

On a somewhat serious note is this more of the City taking a stronger look at ride share apps in general in order to try and convince them to either pay a living wage or exclusively due to the incorporated cluster fuck that is this particular company?

I posted in another comment a podcast discussing it in more detail but yea he was monumentally insecure. Keep in mind while he had long periods of fame and success he had equally long periods of drug addiction and being a punch line in pop culture.

Completely agree, asshole move but not that surprising given he allegedly out right hated his son Gary for being independently more famous them him during the 70's

I know we shouldn’t speak ill of the dead and by all accounts he didn’t do anything near as horrible as Woody Allen or Bill Cosby but still what a angry unlovable asshole. Speaking of in order to see the depths and weird mind fuckery of Jerry Lewis I highly recommend the latest episode of Dana Gould’s podcast where

Well hopefully all of this advertising has gotten the AV club more OFFICE SPACE so that can act like a real SILCON VALLEY website. Besides they have to make some sacrifices to be KING OF THE HILL in this crowded new media landscape. As much as we may complain it still is a GOODE FAMILY to be a part of considering some

Yea I think the issue is multifaced and super complicated mostly due to how much access we have and how much faster our response is. For one reason I don’t think fandom culture is completely toxic and is kind of need for much larger franchises so they don’t lose their way, a la Star Trek, and be a good way to promote

Keep powering through it may not seem like it and don’t won’t to spoil to much but suffice to say Season 5 will start at a radically different place then 2,3, and 4 did on an emotional level

Agreed the telescope is a really good turning point of when Bojack becomes Bojack. I think something else that helps get through those early episodes is to just accept the weirdness of the world and don’t think to much about it being the animal human hybrids unless the show itself brings it up. Alot of the times it is

The numbers may be in broadcast favor for now but the economics are a bit more murky. Sure less people may watch Bojack but how many are rewatching how many are simply waiting until it is over and still have a Netflix account or just haven’t had time to watch it yet. Plus following the HBO model like Netflix is mostly

I think the real issue is that with very few exceptions Netflix Shows are written for the season rather then the episode. In other words so much of what makes Bojack work is that it keeps building off of itself. Even something has amazing and singular as Fish out of Water becomes so much deeper seeing the other

Does this mean we are finally free of being informed how Mike Judged has shaped the last 25 years of pop culture?

Seriously as a comic book fan it can be so infuriating at times the things people will not just give into suspension of disbelief with. Robots time travel and complete disregard for continuity fine, make spider man black screaming and forming a lynch mob.

Agreed I am 27, been online since I was 6, social media since 14, and never in those 21 years have ever been harassed threatened or had any personal information leaked out so others can deal with me in real life.

R.I.P L.T. Commander Hudson. Always a pleasure when he made an appearance in something and brought his particular charm

Seems like I am with like minded people so I can someone tell me what is appeal is? I know Force Awakens was huge but assumed that had to do with Star Wars, have his projects actually been very financially successful and enough to justify his budgets and control of major franchises

Even hotter take: Anything of quality to come from JJ Abrams has been because of the skills and work of other much better people.

This could only turn out better if we find out since Law and Order went off the air McCoy has been an executive at Old Glory Insurance.

Agreed, I have said what makes the show work no matter how zany or weird it gets is that it is that no other show out there understands its characters so well. No matter what happens the characters pretty much act like they are supposed to without fail.

I think the writers have earned enough trust and have shown through how the y have established things so far that they won’t resort to pulling that card unless they have a really good reason
