I think its about time that the US overhauls its archaic emissions standards. Sure, NOx emissions are almost equally as harmful as CO2 emissions. But why is it possible for a giant V8 (~300 g/km CO2) to pass emissions standards with no fines, but a 2.0 TDI (~150 g/km CO2) has to jump through 50 hoops to be considered…

One thing to point out is that we only hear about the cases where things go wrong. There’s tons of cases of cops de-escalating properly, but they aren’t news. That being said I’ll agree that we need more training and counselling for cops.
