watched this a few months ago and, once again, realized I was born just a bit too late. But at least I was born in the early 70's.

that’s just so beautiful.
nothing is impossible, there are plenty of products that can assist in matte finish care. It’s not like you scrub a shiny car like a dish pan either. I’ll admit being a professional helps, and matte may not be for the novice, but it’s certainly not unmanageable. No, you can’t buff a scratch out, and I’m not saying…
I’m sure the garage queen promotional F1 car won’t suffer the same issues. And most matte finished cars these days are usually wrapped. It’s just like anything else, if you go for the finish you need to learn how to take care of it.
sorry, but if you can’t see the difference between a poorly spray bombed heap and the finish on a professional race car, which is probably done a little nicer being a promotional piece, then perhaps you may not know what you’re seeing?
OK, so you don’t like matte finishes...this is a lot of words to get that point across no? Aside from plasti-dipped heaps, matte finish is still a legitimate choice and far from outdated. Done right I think it looks great, as I’m sure many do. And it’s advertising on an F1 car, hard to make that different or exciting.
Buick branded trucks aren’t bringing people in the door. Because there are actual GMC heavy trucks it gives them a sales pitch, no matter how much more similar the light duty consumer version is to the Chevy than the commercial GMC, the fact is that the GMC brand evokes that image of a more capable truck.
I think the Ford Fusion is the perfect example of a car that can look like a rental and also look like a premium car. A base model looks like a rental car, where a Platinum model definitely does not.
This is why the SS should be a trim level on all Chevy passenger cars and not a stand alone model. They can all be hopped up on HP, given some more aggressive looking bits (bumpers/lights/trim) and wheels. That would surely broaden brand appeal, especially if the Cruze hatchback is coming because there is always room…
I’ve driven Chevettes....hooning is impossible! Beat, yes. But no hooning there.
Other than slight appearance (usually front clip) it was Bilstein shocks and Michelin tires that the premium paid for. That was malaise era stuff. These days I think it exists to sell trucks from Buick stores, for those willing to pay more for slightly different and “premium”. Plus stand alone Buick stores need trucks.
Hughes is Delaware’s most touted brand, I like Kirby & Holloway too. But Rapa is most widely used and what I grew up on. I like em all...sliced thin and crispy.
Yes, that’s the proper Delaware way.
they shouldn’t even introduce the Stig like that anymore. The Stig should be with it’s creators at Amazon. That they kept the Stig contradicts them saying they want to do something new and different...which should be having Sabine or Harris doing the lap times with some commentary on the cars they are driving during…
Rory is far more suited than LeBlanc for this gig. Otherwise I’m on board with this. I still think that Sabine should just be the lap time “Stig” who gives opinion on the cars as well and they should let Wilhelm/Clarksons Stig idea stay with it’s creators.
Nissan and Toyota should ignore the full size truck market and concentrate on midsized and bringing back to market true small trucks. Domestics dominate the full sized market and will always have the upper hand by consistently offering incentives that bring them well below MSRP. Other than the U.S. I don’t see much…
I liked the other stuff more than this one, but he seems most suited for the new Top Gear and would make a great main host. Only other addition I like is Sabine, but sadly she makes for a bad choice because she’s hard to understand. One thing is for sure, that’s a lot of people to fit into a show, so hopefully they…
I’ll watch because Top Gear. While I like Sabine she they’ll need to caption her if she speaks too much. Would have preferred her be a Stig that gives a little opinion about the cars she drives and OG Stig have gone with his creators to Amazon. Evans, meh, the guy with the shirt, meh, Harris, meh. This Rory guy seems…
There is no Doug in this story, hence he wouldn’t know how to write it.
Doug writes about Doug...I’d read Harris over anything Doug writes about himself anyday, and I’m not a big Harris fan either.
