Nope, no judgement here either. Do what makes you happy. My brother had cosmetic surgery on his ears as a kid because they stuck out to the side. It’s sad because I think some people would think it was fine for a young boy to do that, but then would turn around and judge a woman for having a nose job.

Sure, but I’m willing to bet that there are far more people that get braces for cosmetic reasons compared to problems that need to be fixed. Since this whole conversation is about appearances rather than conditions, I was referring to braces/cosmetic surgeries that are elective.

Agreed. I genuinely don’t think there is much of a difference between getting a nose job and hiring a professional to do your make up in such a way that drastically alters your appearance (aside from the obvious risks of an invasive procedure). We don’t call kids vain for wanting braces, and we shouldn’t call women…

Who goes to see Kim Kardashian at anything? For reasons that are still unclear to me I read a lot of the drivel on here about them, but actually putting on pants and leaving the house to hear her talk? I don’t understand why one would do such a thing.

Agreed. When I have the option, I’m there well ahead of my departure time. It means I spend more money on Starbucks or wine, but I see it as a chance to relax and people watch. When you have to really on inefficient and/or infrequent public transit, however, that’s when I have run into more stressful situations.

That’s all fine if everything else is running according to plan, but if your train malfunctions on the way to the airport then 30 minutes can be the difference between getting a snack prior to boarding and getting a big glass of wine while you wait to see if you will make it off the stand-by list because you missed…

Agreed, but it’s not as if there is a cut-and-dry line where some photoshopping is okay, but too much is offensive. So to say that you asked for some things to be photoshopped out and then that you are opposed to photoshop seems a bit disingenuous to me. Maybe there was more to her statement than was included here.
