And as we’ve learned from watching this play out multiple times, while we think, “Surely whoever replaces this scumbag can’t be worse,” they always, always, somehow, miraculously, are worse.

Eh. I’d rather “revel in the gore” of what it’s going to take to fix our many broken, embattled institutions; write good laws with the intent of helping the most vulnerable among us and protecting our natural resources and population from endless corporate greed; and, y’know, trying to live up to all that American…
Maybe look into what happened to the “very large Jewish population” in Russia. Given the history, I doubt they’re pandering now.
I was thinking of throwing rotten pumpkins to keep with his foul orange theme, but, yeah, I’m in. Beer cans would be much easier. I can’t injure myself, because my PCP was one of the people murdered.
My friends knew the victims, attend that synagogue. One of the victims was my PCP. That “small town vibe” means everybody I talked to today had a harrowing weekend, checking on friends and family, treating the wounded, and wondering how this could happen anywhere.
This is my 18th year doing Nanowrimo. I’ve watched the event evolve over the years, and tried all sorts of methods of preparation. What would you like to know?
You’re glad. I live just down the hill from the synagogue. I’ve been puttering around, completely unaware that I should have been figuring out how to work up the courage to see if friends are alive while also not being intrusive on what has to be a horrific day. Oh yeah, and it’s Shabbat, so it’s not like people will…
Why?
I think my “favorite” part is how, apparently we’re just glossing over the assumption that “all brown people look the same” to the point that supposedly there are Middle Eastern terrorists “hiding in plain sight” amongst the South American refugees.
It’s like the other commenter can’t wrap their head around living in a war zone, with indescribable poverty, and, oh, yeah, small children. Funny how feeding them, despite the lack of jobs, is still a priority.
So long as they don’t get “lost” or mysterious disqualified somehow, that is encouraging news.
Say you or I went completely around the bend and decided that sending someone a bomb was the answer (Note: it’s never the answer). Presumably you and I have never made a bomb before, but, hey, there’s gotta be something on the internet somewhere!
This anecdote does not disabuse me of my theory that if Trumpsters were in any way bothering to engage in critical thinking, they wouldn’t be Trumpsters.
Isn’t it infuriating that when this sh*t happens, and the victims report it, they are consistently not believed until someone shows the video? Apparently super racism is practically the norm. Why is it every. single. time. nobody believes it?!?!
Are they? Good. I could use a little hope.
Look at that proud kitty with the heads of their enemies! Good kitty!
Can you explain the reference, please? The only redcap I know is a type of murderous goblin, which doesn’t seem quite right from context.
Notice how there are no actual desks or people working* or even behaving like they’re at work in the architects’ imaginings? Do you think the work will get done by people doing yoga, biking, or strolling hand-in-hand with their kids while their dogs romp? I work in the tech industry; don’t think we haven’t noticed…
If we work with the owner(s) of the copyright, I bet we could skip being coy and go directly to “Idiocracy.”
We’re sure that’s a hockey mascot, yeah? Definitely not a Muppet on smack or the mascot of the opioid crisis? Really? Huh. Okay.
