Wow, did this article miss a very large issue with online identity verification: data security. Given the number of data breaches, the complete lack of regulatory rigor protecting user data (at least in the States), and how our data is the product for most of these sites, blithely handing your identification

I think you’re bananas. That was very much the 2nd act of a 3-act play. But, whatever. Meet you back here with popcorn (or frozen peas?) for Season 3, hopefully.

Indy’s mom didn’t “leave;” she died. There’s a whole conversation between Indy and his dad just as they’re deciding to go to Berlin to recover the Grail diary, where his Dad says something like,Unfortunately, she kept her illness from me until all I could do was mourn her.” It’s implied that one of the reasons

First sentence of the article, “An asteroid roughly as long as Chicago’s Willis Tower is tall is set to pass by Earth tomorrow.” You might be old enough to have heard it referred to as the “Sears Tower.” It was the tallest building in the world for a while, though that’s laughable now. Exact measurements are easily

My original comment did not mean that I failed to comprehend the article, rather I could not fathom the behavior it described. But thank you for summarizing the article for me, all the same.

Brand new. I’ve only been online for fun since 1990, for work a few years after that. However, as someone else mentioned, my internet use rarely includes the social media ecosystem. Apparently, that’s where we keep “the common clay of the new West. Y’know...morons.”

I don’t understand any of this. It sounds like ridiculously over-blown drama, from the author, the reviewer, the publisher, and the random people jumping in to “support” one side or the other. Is everyone stuck in a grade school mentality? The author and the publisher should be able to comport themselves like the

“Insensitive” is up for debate. Possible beyond the shiny haze of telling the C-Suite pretty lies that will allow them to stiff their employees while forking over loads of cash to the latest tech bro making half-baked, mile-high promises of “disruption” or whatever the latest buzzword is? Unlikely.

Bananana! ...but what is going on with the miniature banana on slide 3? Photoshop fail? Some sort of mini variety?

To each their own. All I remember from the 2000 movie was Jeremy Irons chewing scenery like a teething rottweiler.

We all know better by now, but I gotta admit, this one hurts. I liked the small changes they made from the books and hoped to continue to enjoy them in a second season.

I’m envisioning an Iron Chef style “first you have to defeat the monster in the kitchen arena, then you have to prepare it!” show.

Sir, it appears you are infested with furry maniacs. :) Thank you so much for sharing! I love them all.

Another fabulous installment of adorable kitties. Thank you, Krispy.

First dose of Moderna: noteworthy injection-site soreness the day after. Otherwise, fine.

Chiming in to add that people who’ve had previous COVID infections appear to be more likely to have a stronger reaction to dose 1, whereas for non-infected folk, the 2nd dose is the “rough one” (if they get side effects at all).

I truly can’t imagine “returning” a cat, for any reason.

I don’t have much coherent to say (“kitty! kitties! Aw, kitty! Kitties!” etc.) but I check in every week. Thank you, Krispy. Thank you, kitties.
