Trust me, those buildings were just as depressing when they were new.

Personally, I like that they’re not faking Russian accents, since it usually comes across as cartoonist. I suppose Russian actors would have been a good idea, but, then you have to find enough that can speak English well enough to really pull off all the parts.

Even the attention to detail in the aircraft - like the inside of Boris Shcherbina’s state helicopter - was amazing. Incredible miniseries that hits right on the folly of man like a lead sledge hammer.

I like this guy

As an EVE player, I’m not sure I understand this. Are one of the coffees poisoned? Is it a distraction to steal the other persons car keys?

“I want to emphasize that she doesn’t know anybody, she’s not connected,”

They literally have receipts. He bought the stuff used to attack him. They offered to expunge his record. That means there was something to expunge that wasn’t dropped. Despite how his lawyers, the media, and his PR folks are handling it, he messed up. There’s proof he did. There’s a huge difference between innocent

Yeah, a few different people have made this point, but I think it’s slightly off-base. The key thing in my version of events is that Dany’s actions are still completely and utterly unforgivable and make her, in effect, a monster; if it played out the way I wrote it, by the end of “The Bells” she’d still be the enemy

No, they didn’t properly set up Dany’s rampage. An unfortunate effect of working with an outline rather than an entire book of material is that shortcuts and leaps of logic are being made. Instead of an episode of two of build-up, it gets parsed down to a sentence and our imagination.

Again, I don’t think you’re necessarily wrong in your analysis—though, burning enemies who refuse to surrender/submit is categorically different from burning hundreds of thousands of unarmed peasants who’ve already surrendered, and in earlier seasons Daenerys was presented as somebody who regularly insisted on that

Right but weren’t those sickly lil’ chicken-dragons? I’m talking about big Balerion/Drogon-sized dragons.

Eh, you may not be wrong on the broad point, but in this particular instance there wasn’t anything to be gained that any sane leader would judge worthy of slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocents. Cersei’s reign was broken. Dany could have flown straight to the Red Keep and flattened it, or let her army march

I really, really hope Anthem is the tipping point for live-service games going away (or at least not being as grindy, predatory, or incomplete experiences).

This is an inside joke.

A star for coming up with a secondary comment.

GOAT comment right there.

Aww hex, I’m #008000 with envy that I didn’t think of it first.

I’m starting to feel like we’re getting to a point where nothing is allowed. I mean, the context here, for example. She isn’t making fun of black people in any way. She’s trying to remain true to the character, who happens to be black. It would be one thing if she had done something deliberately offensive, but she’s

Eh, I gave it a shot again this weekend as my roommate had started playing again. I started up a new toon and was able to instantly teleport to where my roomie was hanging out in one of the new zones, which was probably a mistake. I followed him around and killed various monsters that never felt like a threat to me
