The bmx’s should have had pads on the top tube, stem, and handle bars as well. That was a standard thing on bmx bikes. Every kid in my neighborhood that had a bmx had a full pad set in the 80's.

The Stingray bike was period correct but the pegs on the back were not. Early 80's pegs would have been a much smaller diameter just for standing on or a set of fold down style that bolted to the frame. The ones they used were a modern style for grinding rails .
