Did you miss the part where they talked about Meyer having a cyst on his brain which causes him blinding migraines if his blood pressure elevates even slightly?

I think what you and Chris are doing here is pretty cheap and lazy. They clearly acknowledge that analytics work in baseball, and even go so far to explain that they work over a large sample size; but there is a point to be made that in small sample sizes, these same strategies aren’t necessarily the best.

I think we can make a distinction between using analytics as a tool in the aresenal and using analytics as the only tool in the arsenal. For the Yankees, it was analytics only, which is why there was the over reliance on the home run ball. The Red Sox and Astros do not solely rely on them. The Dodgers, who are still

Come the fuck on.

Knicks wins the five years before Melo 29, 32, 23, 33, 23.

Who cares what people compare all the fucking time? My point was and remains very simple: Serena might be the best female tennis player ever. Since that is generally based on Grand Slams and the conditions for men and women in Grand Slams are different, with the winner playing hours and hours more in the men’s draw in

People who make GOAT comparisons rarely do so when so little about the game is the same. No common opponents, entirely different rules. Josh Gibson and Sadahuru Oh were not the greatest home run hitters of all time despite hitting more home runs than anybody else, because they didn’t do it in the major leagues. Doug

Just in terms of raw matches played, Federer — who’s been a pro three fewer years than Serena — has still played more. With singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, Serena has totaled 1,164 matches played. Roger has won 1,149 singles matches. He’s played 17,221 games in singles competition. I wish WTA kept that stat

I’ve been a loyal Deadspin reader for years, well before I ever heard of Barstool. While I read parts of Barstool, I don’t read all of it, and I am not a “stoolie,” or whatever reductive term you’d prefer in order to minimize my opinion. The assholes probably yelling at you on twitter right now will get the headlines,

It’s silly to write this without mentioning that he has contributed for Deadspin, both in and out of character.

I love Deadspin and I am and will always be Team Deadspin, particularly when it comes to Barstool.

No dude you’re right. She’s not accounting for the probability of a HIT remains the same no matter what, when the probability of a force out increases every single time. She’s wrong.

I may not be understanding. Could someone help me out?

In his next at bat, the kid was beaned by Justin Verlander

What? I’m not arguing that they shouldn’t have posted the video. They have every right to. It’s how they headlined the article is what I have an issue with. It’s click bait and lacks journalistic integrity.

Click-bait

This isn’t really hating on black people at all. It’s a group of girls having fun singing along to a popular song.

It’s true what they say - you can’t spell “Manish Mehta is a fucking incompetent moron incapable of writing a story without it being a complete shitshow” without “Manish Mehta.”

Yeah, who would ever publicly shame a 5-year-old? Would it be the Deadspin editor who stated in a fucking court deposition that 4-year-olds were fair game?

No it doesn’t
