Def. take along some meds, it is really unpredictable who will get sea sickness; my experience is on a ~50 m research vessel, so probably quite a bit smaller than even a small cruise liner and this ship was not outfitted for comfort. I took scopalamine patches and found out I need them for about the first 18 hours.…
There’s some medication you can take for motion sickness. Rooms in the middle of the ship are usually best. The front and back ends of the ship move up and down the most which can make motion sickness quite terrible.
In my experience dealing with Trump supporters, most of them fail to see how their views affect people close to them...but the prologue and first act of this episode might be useful!
This isn’t clever or witty, but I play the questions game. Every question they ask gets a question as a response. Why do you ask? But doesn’t that mean...? What ABOUT the whites? PC Police... what’s that? If I’m feeling bitchy I’ll eventually work them into a corner where they have to admit their prejudice or…
If they start talking about immigration you can always point out the fact that the US has ALWAYS leaned on foreign labor even through the Great Depression. As for being the PC police I always tell my family that I’m not trying to be politically correct I’m just trying to avoid being an asshole, what’s wrong with…
I’ve had some small success with non-partisan things. The stiffing small businesses, mocking disabled people, encouraging his supporters to attack peaceful protesters (even the republicans-against-trump guy), barging into the changing rooms at his pageants etc etc.
One from a year ago, but it’s just so.....
Ooof. I’m sorry you had that experience with the elderly woman.
Next weekend I will be with my husband’s Trump supporting relatives. Give me your best come backs for when they ask me what I think of Trump and why Ido not like him and what about the whites and why am I the PC police, etc.
I’m a museum assistant and today we had an unpleasant elderly woman. She felt it was necessary to make rude comments, within earshot, after I briefly greeted her and her husband from my desk whilst working on our programming for next week. She subsequently complained to our museum director about several museum…

Please don’t denigrate tumbleweeds.
They are MUCH more charismatic than he is.
Right?! Like what happened to, “oh Lauren and I are going to go on a long vacation and stay away from the media for awhile?,” like he said on After the Final Rose? I mean, I know he didn’t mean it, but I really liked that plan.
Every single person on the show does. The fact that anyone actually believes that any person that would go on national TV and do a relationship “tournament style” is in reality a good person needs to have their head examined.
